The machining of hardened materials or components involves extreme requirements, particularly on the tool used. Hard turning tools do not achieve anywhere near the tool life of conventional tools. Because the tools then represent a significant portion of the total process costs, in-house tool development is of central importance. We develop, test and optimise continuously to harmonise the highest quality and precision with optimal cost-effectiveness also on this aspect. The extensive loading/unloading and feed competency we have developed over the years in the area of blank machining also ensures particularly effective manufacturing processes.
